More Summer Fun

We did lots of fun things in August here in College Station. Actually, we pretty much did everything there is to do in College Station since there's not too much going on. :) We had some free bowling coupons so we headed to the local bowling alley. The boys loved the cool shoes they got to wear.

My favorite part was that every time Gavin rolled the ball down the lane the boys did a little victory dance before the ball even made it to the pins.

There's a natural history museum that has $1 days once a month. There were lots of old western things and lots of little critters.

Those afternoons when we have to get out of the house and it's over 100 outside, we head to good ol' Target. Gavin found a cute duck he cuddled with through the whole store and was happy when he found a chair to get comfy in.

Brant spent a few days in Washington DC and brought home gifts for the boys. Here they're closing their eyes in anticipation of the presents.

We've been to the splashpad a few times. I like it so much better than the pool because the boys get to get wet, but I don't have to chase after them in a pool.

We have season passes to the children's museum and this is the fun train outside.

Summer Fun

We are loving our new swing set. Last week we got all ready to head to the pool only to realize (after we got there) that it's closed on Tuesday. Brant had the idea to come home and put the sprinkler under the swings. The boys thought it was the funnest thing ever. Next time we'll save the trip and just head out to our backyard.

Our friend gave us a big bag of water balloons a few days ago so as soon as Brant got home from work he headed outside to start filling them up. Unfortunately, filling them up takes a lot more time than popping them, but the boys still had a few minutes of fun. Our swing set also makes a great tower to attack Daddy with water balloons from.

We spent the weekend in Dallas for our good friend Autumn's wedding. We are so happy for her!

Here's our current family picture. I don't think I've had a picture taken of me since I've been really pregnant. I don't avoid pictures on purpose, I think it's a subconscious thing. I just don't want to remember what it's like to be huge and uncomfortable. Oh, and super hot all the time thanks to Texas summers.

Brant's parents were in Dallas for Autumn's wedding too so it was an extra bonus.
