Each month the Kindergarten classes pick two kids from each class to be the 'Golden Gator'. A GATOR is Gracious, Accountable, Trustworthy, Outstanding, and Respectful, at least that's what Spencer tells us. He was voted by his friends in his class to be the Golden Gator in January. He got a cool key chain that he put on his backpack and we got to go to a little assembly to celebrate him being such an awesome little boy.
Even though it's been the coldest winter we've had in Texas so far, we've had a few warm days when we could spend lots of time outside. We walked along the trail around Central Park (not to be confused with the one in NY) and threw some rocks in the little lake.
The jailbirds
I can never get enough pictures of the boys and Brant playing. The boys get so excited and have so much fun. Usually Brant ends up getting hurt because everyone jumps on him at the same time.
Group hug!
We love Tyler's huge grin!
Here are the boys gathering around Brant's iPad at the start of Family Home Evening. We have the church music on there and after the boys pick a song we listen to the music and the words are there too.
We had two additions to our family for almost a week since Jared and Dallin Garlick stayed with us. Their parents were on a cruise. Our kids were in heaven having these two there to play with them. One thing I learned is that I need to start saving up now for when I have three teenage boys to feed. :)
Each night we do family scripture study. Everyone has their own set of scriptures we keep in a bin. We go around and each read a verse. Spencer is great at reading aloud and Gavin repeats what we say. They both love to 'highlight' their scriptures with a red pencil. Spence colors in each verse and Gavin scribbles over everything. Tyler goes around trying to take everyones' scriptures and pencils.
