Where did spring go?

We woke up Thursday morning to our beautiful blossoms covered in snow! Today was beautiful, though, so I hope it's done snowing and that spring is ready to stay.
Spencer has a few new hobbies. First of all, Spencer loves to eat yogurt. Unfortunately, he thinks it doubles as hair gel which, we all know, is not the case, but he puts it in his hair anyway. Another is throwing things in the bathtub (as seen below). This is especially challenging when there is water in the bathtub. Spencer also loves to hide shoes. Usually we can find them in the bathtub (also seen below), but sometimes we have to look in a kitchen drawer, in the small space between the fridge and the wall, or in a toy box. We need to plan an extra 10 minutes before going anywhere for a shoe hunt.

Family Portraits

We got family pictures taken a few weeks ago. We love them! Ashley Thalman took them and you can check out more of our pictures and more of her work on her blog http://ashleythalmanphoto.blogspot.com/
The last picture Spencer is blowing kisses.

Happy Easter!

Spencer was so thrilled to see his Easter basket this morning. He didn't get any candy (I saved that all for me), but he got 5 balls so he was happy. He also got a new truck and a peg board with a wooden hammer. I love little boy toys, the're so much fun.
Tuesday was such a nice day that Spencer and I spent a couple of hours walking around downtown Provo. Okay, so it may not be the most exciting city, but they do have some fun antique shops and a pet store that Spencer enjoyed. I just like being outside when it's so warm.

Thursday night Brant and I went to an awards banquet for the School of Accountancy. Brant was one of 4 students who won the School of Accountany Director's award. It's given to students who have made positive contributions to the college and who just ROCK! Now he has a nice wall plaque to show for being awesome. I'm really proud of him, and am really excited for graduation in 2 weeks!
Saturday we had our neighbors over for a little Easter egg hunt. Spencer loved throwing the eggs since they are "balls" in his eyes (as is everything else he sees).

April is here!

Wow, it's hard to believe that April is already here. I've been looking forward to April 2009 for the past 4 years! Brant graduates in just 3 weeks! We're pretty excited... We're ready to be done with school and move on to something else (like a full-time job with benefits!). Even though Brant graduates this month, his job with Pricewaterhouse Coopers doesn't start until the middle of September. That means we will have some fun this summer.

Brant won't be working this summer, he'll be studying for and taking the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam. That's a big job, but I'm sure they'll be plenty of time for other things too. We're leaving Provo in June and then will spend a couple weeks with my family in California. Then Brant's family has a family reunion, also in California. We'll drive out to Ohio and spend a couple of months with Brant's parents. Brant's really excited for that because there is limit-less free golf where his parents live. :)

Spencer is cuter than ever. He turned 18 months on Sunday. His favorite thing to do at present is to throw. He prefers to throw balls, but he will throw whatever he can get his hands on. I guess it must be pretty fun. As you can see from the following pictures, Brant's already giving him some golf lessons.
Brant took Spencer to the Bean Museum (they don't actually have any beans) a couple of weeks ago while I spent the day at the spa! (I have the best husband ever and he gave me a spa package for valentine's day:))

February Fun

Spencer is always so happy when Brant gets home from work and school because it means playtime! I think Brant is just as excited and even has more fun than Spencer sometimes.
Spencer loves to wear our shoes. He can't get in the bigger ones by himself so he'll bring them to me so I can put his feet in.
Brant's future company had a ski day last Saturday at Sundance. Brant's sister watched Spencer all day so we could go. Maybe next time we'll try a black diamond...
It was the perfect day for skiing!

We went to Sacramento for my Grandad's funeral. Here is Spencer playing with his uncle, Caleb. Here's my mom and Spencer.
My dad and Spencer. Spencer can say about 10 words and one of them is Grandpa.
Spence had fun playing with his cousin, Noah.

We love Spencer's laugh!

My Grandad passed away on February 12th. He was an amazing man and I am really going to miss him. He had been sick the past few years and my Grandma took really good care of him. He and my Grandma had 6 children, 25 grandchildren, and already have 12 great grandchildren. We all loved Grandad very much.
